Dukante Hierarchy Sigils Sigils are signatures - representations - pictographs - that represent an individual or entity. They are symbols of our own design by which to focus on. We utilize them during ritual and in image to honor ourselves and the Demons. In Demonolatry, Sigils are burned. They are given to the flames during ritual, or buried in the ground as a symbolic offering of our devotion. By doing this, we are not destroying anything sacred. We are simply rendering the sigil or request during a rite to share our devotion to the entity for which it was created. By comitting the sigil to fire you are symbolically changing its form and allowing your message to rise, like the phoenix, to a state of energy so that the demons can absorb the positive energy put forth in creating the sigil.
